Going Fishing for Older Toddlers and Preschoolers

Use the inside of the folder as a mat—lay it down as if it were the water.  Spread the fish out on the blue mat.

• Children catch fish with the magnetic fishing pole and place the fish on the matching number.
• Can they name the colors?

Note: This activity helps older toddlers and preschoolers become more adept at using motor skills.  It also allows them to begin identifying colors.
